successful ESCDD2018

The 15th edition of the EUROPEAN SYMPOSIUM ON CONTROLLED DRUG DELIVERY in Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands, was a tremendous success.

Many thanks to the 23 speakers who gave excellent presentations, over 100 poster presentations and many lively discussions from over a 150 registered participants from all over the world.

The 15th edition of the symposium was held on April 11-13, 2018 at the beautiful location Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands.

Once more we would like to congratulate the poster award winners:

  • Gregor Fuhrmann - Novel extracellular vesicle-based hydrogels for anti-inflammatory therapy
  • Roberta Guagliardo - Exploring the mechanism behind surfactant protein B as siRNA delivery enhancer
  • Marcel Heinrich - 3D Bioprinted mini-brains: a novel tool to study the interaction between macrophages and cancer cells in glioblastoma multiforme
  • Christopher Parkins - How bypassing the blood-brain barrier using injectable hydrogel vehicles can amplify local drug-delivery

ESCDD2018 posterprize winners

The social event of this special 15th edition took place in the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam, where dr. Djoeke van Netten gave a lecture as an introduction to the museum visit.  The visit to the Maritime Museum was concluded with the symposium banquet.
